Patricia Ryerson starting painting when she was 15. She took an art course, sending her paintings to Minnesota for evaluation and they would send them back. She went to work in the laundry business. She gave up painting when she had children, starting again in 1990 when she also started carving. She uses wood from her property and creates, animals, birds, fisherman, Santas, carol singers and more. she also makes dolls using gourds for the head and rest is fabric. Pat really enjoys carving and painting and has used it as a source of income after her husband injured his back. She has sold her work to people from all over the world.
