Mark Robichaud was born in 1962. He began carving as a child but became serious about his work in 1981. he has been employed as a clam digger, fish plant worker, labourer, mill worker, mink rancher and fish plant worker in the Clare region of Nova Scotia. During the last few years, Mark took a few courses from The Nova Scotia College of Art and Design. He prefered to focus on his style of art and had to wait a year to get all of the new ideas out of his head so he could return to his love of carving folk art. His work is very creative and is highly sought by collectors world wide. Unfortunately, Mark has been unable to carve for the past few years.
